Venkat Prabhu Claims That His 'GOAT' Is Not For Critics!

Noted director Venkat Prabhu who recently arrived with 'The GOAT' made some interesting statements regarding the film. Starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, this film is an action thriller and it got negative reviews from the critics all over. Venkat Prabhu claimed that 'The GOAT' is not for critics but for the audience.

He said that no one talks about the hard work we have gone through for this film but often comes up with negative comments. He talked about the references in the movie and said that he wanted to make this film into a celebration for movie lovers which is the reason behind having so many movie references.

He added that the movie is not made for guest appearances but the intention was to include elements that pleases the audience. He revealed that they had less time while making a universally appealing film needed more time. He stated that they tried everything to bring MS Dhoni in one scene but it was impossible. They managed to showcase Dhoni's match footage on the screen.

It minted 280 crores in 4 days. The runtime of the film is 2 hours and 59 minutes while the original length was 3 hours and 40 minutes. Venkat Prabhu wants to release the director's cut with the entire runtime in the OTT platform. Yuvan Shankar Raja gave the music while Siva Karthikeyan and Trisha made special appearances in 'The GOAT'.
