Vishwak Sen, the lead actor in the latest film Gangs of Godavari is excited about the positive feedback from fans especially the comparisons to Jr NTR. The film, directed by Krishna Chaitanya features Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty in the main roles and has been well-received by Telugu audiences since its release. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios, the film has seen significant success.
During a recent success meet, Vishwak Sen expressed his gratitude to the audience for their overwhelming support. He shared his thoughts on being compared to Jr NTR saying, "I heard similar comments during my film 'Paagal.' It's a huge compliment and I thank all the fans for their continuous support."
Vishwak also talked about a particularly challenging scene in the film where he performed a stunt on a moving lorry without any safety equipment. "That scene was quite risky. There were no ropes or safety measures in place," he explained.
He also reflected on the praise he received from senior actor Balakrishna Nandamuri, saying, "When Balayya garu said I am like his son, it was a very emotional moment for me. His words are a blessing, and I was in tears when I heard them."
Vishwak noted the rapid growth of the Telugu film industry highlighting its success despite lower ticket prices compared to Bollywood. He mentioned the positive response from distributors and shared that they didn't celebrate the success with fireworks due to a personal reason at the producer's house.
Director Krishna Chaitanya shared his delight over the film's reception noting that women found the second half emotionally powerful while men appreciated the action scenes and the interval segment. "The response has been incredible, and I am confident that 'Gangs of Godavari' will continue to do well in the coming days," he said. He also mentioned the film's strong performance in coastal districts.
Vishwak Sen emphasized the importance of genuine feedback on platforms like BookMyShow, urging for a better system to filter out bots and fake reviews. "Most audiences don't pay much attention to such reviews. My fans know what to expect from my movies, and 'Gangs of Godavari' is a testament to that," he stated.
Regarding future projects, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi confirmed plans for a sequel to "Gangs of Godavari." Director Krishna Chaitanya assured fans that updates on the sequel would be coming soon and mentioned an upcoming announcement about another project "Power Peta."
