What Happened To The High-Budget Web Series Of 'Baahubali'?

'Baahubali: Crown Of Blood' is all set to arrive on 17th May in Disney + Hotstar. It is an animation series and it will not be related to the story of 'Baahubali' movie franchise. The characters are taken and a whole new story has been developed. This thought came to Rajamouli long back and planned to make a brand new web series with completely new actors.

They tied up with Netflix and made preparations to make a 100 crore-worth series. Popular names like Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru directed one episode each but the output was not as desired. This prompted the makers to shelve the project. All the money spent on it went in vain. But Rajamouli is reportedly keen on taking this project ahead. Arka Media Works who bankrolled 'Baahubali' are reportedly trying to get it back on track.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda is adamant about using the 'Baahubali' brand and creating more content. The series is going to arrive on Netflix and the official report regarding this update will be coming out soon. If this series becomes successful, we can be sure that a lot more makers will be taking hit characters from various movies and turn them into a series or a movie. This is going to be a trend in the coming days.
