110 Army Personnel Contacted Virus In Dehradun

A tense situation arose in the Dehradun region of Uttarkhand with 110 Army personnel contacting the virus and tested positive for the contagious disease. The majority of infections were recently detected.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat confirmed the same while addressing the media and said out of the 11o cases, a lion share of cases were detected in the last 2-3 days.

The authorities started the contact tracing of people who might have come in contact with the Army personnel. Once the contacts are traced they will be sent for further medical tests.

As of the 18th of July, the state has a total of 4,102, while 51 people breasted their last breath battling the respiratory disease. With 3,021 people managed to recover from the disease, the active cases stood at  1,030.
