13 Districts In India Accounts For 70% Of Total Cases

The positive cases of the virus are increasing rapidly as the toll of the total cases in India reached 173,763 which makes India the ninth worst-affected nation in the world with the virus.

India straight away reported highest single-day cases for the second consecutive day as 7,694 cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours raising many concerns about the spread of the virus.

Looking at the data of the cases, a few states in India reported the most number of cases while some states have a limited number of cases. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Gujarat possess around 70% of the total cases in India.

What's even more shocking is that only 13 districts in India reported as much as 70 percent of the total cases. These districts were found out to be the hotspots for the virus.

The authorities have found out that Municipal Corporations like Mumbai Municipality, Delhi-Newdelhi Municipality, Ahmadabad, Thane, Hyderabad, Kolkata-Houra, Indore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur account for around 70 percent of the cases of the virus.
