The Annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Technology - Hyderabad (IIT-H) seens about 358 Students obtain the Graduation certificate, which is huge jump (35%, 100 more students)compared to last year. While 127 graduated in B.Tech and 151 in M.Tech, About 36 graduated in MSc, 34 in PhD and 3 in MPhil.
IIT-H Director UB Desai claimed this year's convocation is very special as all the operations were held from the permanent campus itself.
The speciality of IIT-H is that about 53% of 358 students graduated this year are actually Post-Graduates and Research Scholars. In addition, This year's convocation marks the first batch of B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) Students.
Bibek Debroy, a member of Niti Aayog, graced the IIT-H Convocation as the Chief Guest.
