Election Commission of India has been contemplating on conducted Assembly Polls AP, Odisha, Sikkim & Arunachal Pradesh along with 2019 Lok Sabha Elections simultaneously. 5 Years Term of these states would end in May/June 2019.
Assembly Elections of Jammu & Kashmir where Assembly was dissolved recently could also happen during the same period. Elections should happen here within Six Months, by May 2019.
When quizzed if Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Polls will be preponed to May/June next year, EC clarified: 'If the Assembly in those states gets dissolved six months before the full term, We will conduct elections along with Lok Sabha Polls'.
Term of Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly ends in November 2019. If the Assembly Polls of these two states happen in Summer itself, There won't be any other elections in the year 2019.
