4 UK Returnees Test Positive For Covid-19, Shifted To Quarantine Facility!

Given the fear caused by the UK strain of Coronavirus, the union government suspended the flight services through and fro to Britain as a bid to curb the infections.

However, the government permitted flight services since the 6th of January. The decisions cost high for India as four passengers who returned from the United Kingdom tested positive for Coronavirus.

Surprisingly, the fresh infections were detected in the passengers who arrived in India on the first flight that landed in India from the United Kingdom.

According to the information, a flight from London reached the Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) in Bengaluru on Sunday morning. The passengers and crew members were tested for the pandemic.

As per the Covid-19 protocols, the 273 passengers, including the 16 crew members were tested for the pandemic and four of them are said to be positive for Covid-19.  

Media reports quoted Karnataka State Health Minister K Sudhakar as saying, out of 273 passengers, four of them have tested positive for Coronavirus, who were shifted to the quarantine facility.

So far, the total number of positive cases related to the United Kingdom strain of the virus in India reached 90.
