In a shocking and tragic incident four engineering students drowned and washed away at Suryalanka beach in Bapatla mandal in Guntur district today.As it was a holiday on the occasion of Bakrid, 13 Engineering students went near to Suryalanka beach for swimming. Six of them, ventured into the sea for a swim and they were hit by strong tidal current and four of them were washed away.
The two deceased students were identified as G Krishnaprasad of Rambhotlavaripalem in Guntur district and Mahesh of Nalgonda. The missing students have been identified as Srinivas of Tenali and Jaidev of Guntur. A pal of gloom descended in the college campus with the unexpected incident
