Ap: A Committee Was Set Up To Address Ticket Issue!

Update: 2021-12-28 09:47 GMT
In the wake of the ticket issue getting more complicated in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government had stepped in to address the issue. As an effort to see that the issue is addressed, the state government took a key decision and the orders from the government were also issued.

As a bid to address the issue, a new committee has been set up by the government that looks into the issue. The main focus of the committee will be looking into the ticket issue and coming up with suggestions to resolve the issue.

The Principal Secretary will lead the committee and will serve as the Chairman of the committee. The committee will also comprise Chief secretaries from other departments like Revenue, Finance, Municipality, and Secretary of Justice.

After looking into the matter, the committee will file a report and submit the same to the government.

The theatre industry had pinned high hopes on the committee that the issue will get resolved at the earliest as the big films are gearing up for theatrical release. Pongal season, one of the big seasons for the industry is just days away from now and the ticket prices issue is raising many fears among the theater owners.

The setting up of the committee is the new development in the much-talked-about ticket prices issue. So far we have seen the revenue department officials raiding the theaters. After the raids, the officials are slapping the establishments with seizing orders if any violations were found.

Due to the raids at the movie theatres, more and more theatres are being shut in Andhra Pradesh. More than 175 establishments have been shut so far in the state. On top of this, few other establishments were voluntarily closed by the owners seeing the existing situations.

On the other hand, a few theatre owners and distributors have managed to get an appointment with Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Perni Nani. The much-awaited meeting is likely to take place today and more details are awaited. We have to wait and see what the distributors and film distributors can do in the serious issue.
