The film industry and politics are interrelated. Film personalities venturing into politics and serving the people has been going on for a very long time. We have seen film stars becoming Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers. From late NTR to Megastar Chiranjeevi to recent Power Star Pawan Kalyan, the list goes on.

Not just leading stars, but a few famous actors also served the people. In the Telugu film industry, veteran actors like Rao Gopal Rao, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Babu Mohan, and Murali Mohan became legislators and served the people. Now it looks like another actor is set to join the row.

Star Telugu actor Sapthagiri expressed his willingness in joining politics and running the elections. He said that he wants to serve the people and would like to contest in Assembly or Parliament elections.

According to the news reports coming from the mainstream media Saptagiri said that he would join the Telugu Desam Party and work for the party. He said that he is ready to work for the party and do whatever the party leadership says. I am ready to even campaign for the party, he said.

The actor was in the temple city of Tirupati to participate in a private event. He spoke to the media and is believed to have made some sensational comments. The mainstream media quoted him as saying that he has an offer from the TDP, but it would be too early for him to talk about this now. I will tell you the happy news in a couple of weeks if everything goes well, he said.

Adding further, Saptagiri said that he is from the Chittoor district and was born at the Aira Government Hospital in the Chittoor district. Saptagiri went on to say that from the Chittoor district, he went to the film industry and earned a big name for himself and he wants to do the same in politics.

Telugu Desam Party is looking for the winning horses as the opposition party wants to win the upcoming general elections. Saptagiri might be the pick for the party. However, we cannot conclude with the party announcing the news. We have to wait and see what happens in this regard.
