Amid Surge In Corona Cases, Saudi Arabia Suspends Flights To And From India

In the wake of the surge in Coronavirus cases, Middle East country Saudi Arabia has issued a circular to ban flights to and from India as a safety measure.

In the circular issued by Saudi Arabia, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) maintained that the travel services to and from the three nations India, Brazil, and Argentina

However, the circular mentioned that these restrictions will not be applicable to the passengers who have official invitations from the government of Saudi Arabia.

It is believed that the new restrictions will come into action from the 24th of September. With this, Indian Airlines cannot operate any flights to the Arab Nation nor the flights coming from Saudi Arabia can fly to India.

This drastic step from the Middle East country came after the fresh Coronavirus infections in India are increasing rapidly. India currently has over 56 lakh Coronavirus infections.
