Andhra Pradesh Reported 7228 Fresh Cases, total count zoomed to 6,46,530
Andhra Pradesh, which is the second worst-affected state with the Coronavirus outbreak continues to witness a dip in fresh cases as over 7,000 fresh infections were detected in a single day.
According to the information provided by the media bulletin, as many as 72838 samples were tested in a span of 24 hours, and 7228 people were found infected with the virus.
So far, 6,46,530 patients in the state were diagnosed with the virus so far. A total of 53,02,367 samples have been tested in the state as of now.
For a few weeks, Andhra Pradesh managed to bring down the average of fresh cases in the state. Till the end of August, AP reported over 10k cases at an average daily which went on decreased gradually. Now the average has come down to over 7,000.
On a brighter note, a total of 5,70,667 have been recovered from the virus in the state so far, including 8291 patients being cured and getting discharged from the hospital accordingly.
On the other hand, 45 patients succumbed to the virus in a span of 24 hours taking the count of total fatalities in connection with the pandemic to 5506.
Despite the dip in fresh cases in the state, East Godavari which is the worst-affected reporting over 1,000 fresh cases is raising many fears about the virus spread.
In the last 24 hours, East Godavari reported as many as 1112 fresh infections followed by West Godavari(962), Guntur(648), Anantapur(612), Kadapa(600), Prakasham(502), and Nellore(479).
