Another member of KCR family to enter politics?

Is Telangana CM KCR trying to bring another family member into politics? There is a buzz in the TRS circles and even in the Pragathi Bhavan that another member of KCR's extended family is likely to enter politics in the 2023 elections. The regular presence of a KCR family member in KCR's entourage is being touted as the evidence of this.

Already five members of KCR family are actively involved in party politics and enjoy key posts. KCR's son KTR is a minister and the working president of the party, while daughter Kavitha is an MLC. KCR's nephew Joginapalli Santosh Kumar is a Rajya Sabha MP. Another close relative is Boyinapalli Vinod, who is the deputy chairperson of the planning board of the state.

If highly placed sources are to be believed, KCR's elder brother Rangarao's son is likely to enter electoral politics. These days, he is almost always seen accompanying KCR on his tours and meetings. He is also a regular at the farmhouse. Also, there are reports that KCR is holding meetings with leaders from undivided Medak district on fielding Ranga Rao's son from some constituency in the district.

Ranga Rao's daughter Saumya Rao was once close to KCR. But, later, she became his bitter critic. She even contested on a Congress ticket and lost the elections. However, her brother has been maintaining cordial relations with KCR all through. Sources say KCR has decided to introduce him to electoral politics this year. Interestingly, he wanted to contest from Siddipet on Praja Rajyam ticket in 20009. But, he had to opt out as the party gave the ticket to some other candidate.
