Congress minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad came up with shocking proposals in a letter of amendments made on clauses of the Telangana draft bill.

Dokka opined residuary state of Andhra Pradesh be named after 'Telugu Nadu'. He demanded a merger of two Rayalseema districts Anantapur and Kurnool in Telangana region.

The minister also reminded Bhadrachalam wasn't part of Telangana before 1956, when AP was formed. Hence, it should be a part of Seemandhra itself.

Apart from these amendments, Dokka suggested a mechanism or upliftment of SCs and STs through creation of more Assembly seats. He recmmended a ban on allocation of agricultural land to industries and businesses. He aslo sought a special board for looking after Krishna and Godavari waters allocation.
