AP Government has struck a deal with the Japanese firm 'Maki & Associates' for the construction of buildings in new capital Amaravati.
Apparently, Japan's Maki & Associates, UK's Richard Rogers and India's DV Joshi Architects were in race for the contract of construction of Amaravati buildings. After thorough examination, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu opted for the Japanese Company.
TDP Government even released the designs of the buildings proposed by Maki & Associates. Chief Minister wishes to make changes if necessary after seeking the opinion of Experts and People of the State.
Earlier, Maki & Associates were behind the construction of some of the well-known large structures in the World. This include New York's World Trade Center & UN Consolidation Building, Singapore's Media Corp, China's Shenzen Sea World Cultural Arts Center and India's Bihar Museum.
