AP HC Issues Interim Orders To Halt Probe Against Dammalapati Over Alleged Land Scam In Amaravati
A day after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a case on former Andhra Pradesh Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivasa Rao, High Court's orders gave him relief.
Lawyers representing Dammalapati Srinivas Rao told the court that the government is trying to arrest the former AG illegally.
The interim orders were issued by Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari to adjourn the case for four more weeks and said that the details of the FIR that was filed against Dammalapati should not be spread on media.
Looking at the timeline, the ACB registered a case agonist 14 people, including the former Advocate General over the alleged land scam that took place in Amaravati, the capital city that was proposed by the previous TDP government.
