The protests called by the Andhra Pradesh government employees against the controversial PRC recommendations is getting bigger and bigger with each passing day. Within no time, the protests turned intense as the protesting employees are protesting by hitting the roads.

The PRC issue had reached the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the court heard the petition. During the arguments, the lawyers representing petitioner Krishnayya told the court that the employees will face injustice as the salaries and allowance are being slashed.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court had reportedly said that there is a reduction in salaries. Having said that, the court adjourned the next hearing for three weeks. The Andhra Pradesh government was directed by the court to file a counter on the PRC GOs issue in three weeks.

As a big relief for the employees, the High Court is said to have issued interim orders saying that no recoveries should be made from the employees' salaries as per the Government Order. The court said that the recoveries should be made from a single employee's salary.

The petition was filed by the petitioner challenging the GOs issued by the government on the PRC issue. In the petition, Krishnayya said that the PRC recommendations will not benefit the employees in any manner.

Andhra Pradesh Gazetted Officers Association Chairman Krishnayya had knocked on the doors of the High Court against the PRC. He said that the benefits given to the employees were reduced. Quoting the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, Krishnayya sought directives from the court to cancel the GO.

The employees are very strong in their fight for their demands. Raising their voice against the PRC issue, the employees have already issued a strike notice to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary. The protesting employees have fixed a schedule for their fight for their demands.

The PRC Sadhana Samithi is driving the protests against the issue. Various employee unions have supported the protests. Besides employees, the teachers working at the state-run schools have also supported this and are taking part in the fight actively. The employees want the salaries to be given as per the previous PRC.
