Update: 2022-02-28 16:08 GMT
The decision taken by the Andhra Pradesh government to bring new districts under the District Reorganisation did not go well with many. Objecting to the way the districts were made and the names that were given to the district, a flood of objections were raised.

With the issue turning intense, the state government had decided to look into the demands and take a call. For the same, a special committee has been constituted which has examined the objections and suggestions on the new districts that will come in place in the state.

As the objections were raised like a flood, some of them were examined by the committee members. Acknowledging that a few objections have come to their notice, the members said that they have examined a few of them and an appropriate decision would be taken in this regard.

Media reports say that the Planning Department led by GSRKR Vijay Kumar went through various objections on the new districts and the final report would be sent to the government after examining other objections too. After studying various things, the report is expected to be sent to the Andhra Pradesh government.

The objections on the new districts had started with the temple city Vijayawada. Government’s move to name the Vijayawada district after NTR had raised several objections and the leaders asked the government that the region should be named after Vangaveeti.

Slowly, the objections have started coming from other regions as well. Leaders from the Kadapa district had also raised a few objections and slammed the government for making the districts without considering the issues.
