Andhra Pradesh was one of the worst-affected states in terms of Coronavirus outbreak. In September, along with the country, AP has also witnessed the peaks of the respiratory disease.
But the state made wonders in tackling the virus and APâs place in the list of severely-affected states in the country have come down from second place. Now the state is not even in the list of the top five worst-affected states.
AP which once reported nearly 10,00 daily, has been reporting the least single-day cases for the past few days and the state has reported the least single-day case yet again.
According to the data released by the Health Ministry, Andhra Pradesh registered just 62 cases. The fresh cases take the total toll of cases in the state 8,88,485.
Looking at the Covid-19 fatalities in the state, 7,160 people have succumbed to the virus with one person breathing his last battling the virus in the past 24 hours. No fatalities were reported on Sunday.
In a piece of good news, 102 patients have recovered from the pandemic in the past 24 hours. The toll of the total recoveries has zoomed to 8,80,363, while the active cases stood at 962.
On the other hand, the details revealed by the Andhra Pradesh Health Ministry said, as of now a total of 1,33,67,616 samples have been tested against the Coronavirus in the state while 22,094 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
