AU professor arrested by Vizag police

Vizag police arrested Andhra University associate professor Appa Rao on reason of his alleged relationships with Maoists. The incident took place today early morning created uproar in student unions. Police took Apparao into their control with out disclosing their identity hit the breaking news columns in media.

Appa Rao wife approached three Vizag town police in early morning had revealed this news. According to her, Some persons who came to their home in early morning around 3AM had tried to took him into their custody. When she questioned them they tried to convince her, later they took him forcibly. Soon after this incident she approached police with the help of neighbours had complained to police. After two hours Vizag SP Praveen confirmed his arrest and tried to mitigate incident impact. But Human rights organizations attacked police department seeking their clarification on this unauthorized act. AU student unions called a bandh in the city urged government to respond immediately. Police confirmed the news on his arrest and disclosed his submission plans to court.
