Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister KCR's Kalvakuntla Kavitha had written to the ED officers saying that she cannot appear before the officers on the date the officers mentioned. Her request was accepted.
Now a similar thing happened as Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy who is facing allegations in the murder case of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy was directed by the Central Bureau of Investigation to appear before them on the 16th of this month, which is today. All eyes were on the questioning session to see what information the offices would get.
But the ruling party MP brought a big twist and said that he cannot attend the questioning today. He spoke to the media on this and said that he has other work on the date mentioned by the CBI and he can attend the questioning after four days. He asked the CBI for the same.
However, it is said that there is no response from the CBI yet on the letter and a debate is going on about what happens if the CBI won't accept the request. The Central agency has been alleging that Avinash Reddy would have erased the evidence in the murder case.
