Ayodhya's Ram Statue To Beat Statue Of Unity

Uttar Pradesh Government disclosed the details of the proposed Ram Statue in Ayodhya. The announcement has come just hours before the massive demonstration planned by VHP and Shiv Sena demanding construction of the Ram Temple.

Yogi Adityanath Government announced 221-metre tall Ram Statue will be established on the banks of River Sarayu. The whole statue will be built of bronze. While the height of the statue is going to be 151 metres, The pedestal on which it will be placed would be 50 metres tall and overhead umbrella will be 20 metres.

As many as five companies which were shortlisted for the construction of Ram Statue has given presentations to UP CM on Saturday. Soil Testing for the installation of the statue is underway.

Shiv Sena Chief Uddav Thackeray slammed BJP for failing to construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya despite holding power in the state and at centre. He told construction of the temple has to happen whether its with a law or bringing in an ordinance.

As the pressure kept mounting, UP Government made a hurried announcement on the proposed Ram Statue in Ayodhya by projecting it as taller than Statue Of Unity in Gujarat. The statue will be set up in such a way that water flow of River Sarayu would touch the feet of Lord Rama.
