In what it could be a shocker, former Indian cricket captain and Congress leader Mohammed Azharuddin, who hails from Hyderabad met with an accident in Rajasthan today.
Thankfully, the former Lok Sabha member and others present in the vehicle en route to Jaisalmer escaped unhurt in the horrible road accident as the airbags saved them.
As New Year is coming, the former captain has decided to celebrate the New Year with his family in Jaisalmer. After reaching the Soorwal area, the vehicle he was traveling, lost control and bulldozed into a nearby shed.
The News Agency ANI quoted Azharuddin's personal assistant as saying, Azharuddin is fine now. There is nothing is worry about his health, he didn't sustain any serious injuries.
According to the media reports, the road mishap occurred on the Lalsot-Kota highway. The police case has been registered and the investigation is underway. The cops are said to be investigating to see if the vehicle was traveling at over speed.
Call it co-incidence, his younger son Ayazuddin has also met with an accident back in 2011 and succumbed to the injuries. He was just 19 years when we met with the accident.
