Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nizamabad MP Kavitha took part in the Breast Cancer Awareness meeting held in Hyderabad. Basavatharakam Cancer Hospital has launched 'Pink Ribbon Walk' to create awareness about Breast Cancer.

On this occasion, Balayya stressed the necessity for Woman to have an awareness about life-threatening Cancer. 'Most of the women were diagnosed with cancer in the final stages. Hence, Doctors weren't able to cure them. There is need to create awareness about the Breast Cancer,' he told.

Kavitha told: 'Mother who takes care of everyone doesn't take her health seriously. Due to breast cancer, we already lost several moms and sisters already. Most of the people even don't know that breast cancer even exists. 'Pink Ribbon Walk' will bring a change in this situation. Prevention is better than cure. Every woman should undergo Breast Cancer test at least once in a year. I appreciate Basavatharakam Cancer Hospital for organizing Pink Ribbon Walk. If a celebrity like Balakrishna speaks out on such serious issues, It will reach a larger section of people. I thank him for the good work being done. I am very happy to take part in this awareness programme'.
