The Kodi Kathi case which shocked the two Telugu states took a big twist now. It is known that a youth named Srinivas attacked the then-opposition leader YS Jagan inside the Vizag Airport. He also claimed that he is a fan of Jagan and he did this hoping sympathy for Jagan.
The case was probed already and the investigating agencies said that there is no conspiracy angle behind this. The case was heard in the NIA court on Thursday.
Lawyers from both sides came to the court. The next hearing in the case was postponed. But the twist is that the key suspect in the case Srinivas had written a letter to the Supreme Court Chief Justice.
In the letter, he mentioned that he stayed 1610 days without bail. Saying that he doesn't know how many days more he has to stay like this, Srinivas requested that justice should be served by probing the matter. I have earlier requested the courts to serve justice but in vain. I am writing to the CJI, he said.
Srinivas's lawyer said that the letter was written in Telugu and will be translated into English. He also said that earlier, Srinivas's mother had written to the previous CJI. The Chief Minister not coming to give his testimony in the case was questioned. Saying that the court is just 10 minutes away from where he stays and that he can record the statement if he wants, but he is not doing it.
He has the facility of recording his testimony in the case, but he is not doing it. Srinivas's lawyers are arguing that petitions are filed in the case wantedly. Saying that the case is delayed already, the lawyer sought the case to be probed at the earliest. It was also mentioned that they will move the Supreme Court if justice is not served.
