The Telangana BJP is now taking the fight against the TRS to the next level. It is now planning to protest at all the scheme launches in the state. So, why does it want to protest? It wants the Telangana government to give adequate space to the Central government in the publicity material of the schemes as the Centre has given a major portion of the amount spent.
For instance, for the Rythu Vedikas being built at a cost of Rs 22 lakh across the state,the Central Government is giving almost half of the amount. So, the T BJP is demanding that there should be the image of the Prime Minister on the Rythu Vedika walls along with CM KCR. Schemes like KCR kits have a Central Government component and the BJP wants to highlight that. The Rs 2 a kg rice scheme too is possible only with the assistance of the Central Government. The Centre is giving up to Rs 28 for the subsidised rice. Hence the BJP wants the state government to give adequate publicity to the state government.
Recently, the BJP objected to the inauguration of the Boath Rythu Vedika in Adilabad district on the same grounds. The party has also raised objections when the name of Union Minister Kishan Reddy was not present on the plaque installed during the unveiling of a road constructed with Central funds. So, expect more fireworks on this in the days to come.
