Update: 2020-10-21 12:00 GMT
The saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) which is struggling in Maharashtra faced another brutal shock after a senior leader is expected to leave the saffron party for NCP.

Some media reports claimed, Senior BJP leader Eknath Khadse will exit the party and join the NCP led by Sharad Pawar. However, he will shift his loyalty alone and no other leaders will join him.

"I am very upset with Devendra Fadnavis. I haven't given any assurance by the party. I am leaving the party alone. No other leaders are with me," media reports quoted the leader.

It has been reported that Eknath Khadse is not happy with the BJP after the party denied him a party ticket in the 2019 elections. Since then, the ties between the party and the leader started worsening.

Khadse along with Devendra Fadnavis, former Maharashtra Chief Minister played a vital role in BJP gaining strength in Maharashtra.

Talking about the exit, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar reportedly said, one can shift loyalties to other parties if he thinks the party is not considering his contributions and hard work.
