After completing two consecutive terms in office, the Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up to contest the third term. The party is very confident about this. However, the observers say that the saffron party might not have an easy run in the elections as happened with the last two terms.
Seeing this, the BJP leadership is said to be working on forming alliances. The decisions the party took in the last eight years did not go well with the ally parties and some of them broke the tries. We have seen this when the controversial agri laws issue went on.
The saffron party is very strong in the north states and it is reportedly looking for alliances in the South and East. For this, the party is believed to be going after old allies. A grand meeting was planned on the 18th of this month. The national capital Delhi will hold the big National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting.
The meeting created interest in Andhra Pradesh as well as Telugu Desam Party allied with BJP for a long time. Before the 2019 elections, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu took a daring step and came out of the NDA alliance. So this caught everyoneâs attention on what would be the fate of TDP.
However, it appears that BJP is looking beyond TDP for the alliance as the grand old party was not invited to the NDA meeting. Former MLC of BJP from Andhra Pradesh P. V. N. Madhav reportedly said that TDP was not invited to the meeting. Having said that, the MLC also maintained, Telugu Desam Party is not an ally party and what is being circulated on social media is not true.
This can be seen as a big blow to the TDP which pinned high hopes on stitching alliance with BJP again. Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been trying his best in getting a nod from the BJP for the alliance. On every occasion, Chandrababu is praising BJP and Narendra Modi. But the BJP MLC gave a new path to the issue. Ahead of the much-awaited general elections in the state, TDP faced a shock.
