BJP sees mind-game behind leaks about changing state president

What is the biggest worry of the Bharatiya Janata Party these days in Telangana? It is the fear of party leaders and workers deliberately leaking information. But more than that, spreading misinformation about the goings on in the party is turning out to be their biggest challenge. Shockingly, this problem is exclusive to Telangana state, which is going to polls later this year.

The top leadership feels that there is a method behind the misinformation madness. Even after clarifying umpteen times, rumours are still afloat about the change of guard in the party. The BJP has never changed a state present just months ahead of an election so far. Yet, all kinds of rumours about a possible regime change are floating in the air.

More worrisomely, some leaks about appointment of some leaders as the chairpersons to the election campaign committee and other committees have been released from Delhi itself. As of now, the party has not taken any decision of that kind. Yet, these rumours are flying thick and fast. The BJP top leadership feels that this is part of the misinformation campaign unleashed by political adversaries.

The BJP has time and again said that state president Bandi Sanjay would not be changed. Yet, the media continues to report that there could be a change at the top leadership in the state. The BJP bosses believe that the BRS is behind this false campaign. The party has told its rank and file not to believe in such stories of regime change in Telangana.
