Anti-Black Money Day announced

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley declared November 8th, the first anniversary of Note Ban announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be celebrated by BJP as 'Anti-Black Money Day'. This announcement came a day after 18 Parties including Congress and TMC told November 8th will be observed as a 'black day' and protests/rallies will be held highlight the hardships faced by people due to cash crunch and drop of economy.

Arun Jaitley opined Congress failed to understand the concept of demonetisation. He explains, 'After Note Ban, Every deposit made in the banks will get into the lawful system which makes the people pay tax. Note Ban achieved other objectives like increase of the tax payers and digital transactions'.

Centre announced infusion of Rs 2.11 lakh crore in public sector banks to boost lending. This move eventually gave a boost to stock market, with both Sensex and Nifty ending at a record high.

Even Cabinet approved the proposal to built 83,677 km of highways with an investment of 6.9 lakh crore in the next five years. A step taken to draw more investments into the country for creating employment.
