The bowler straight away informed the BCCI and the officers swung into action, a person is believed to have been arrested.
Information says that a person approached Mohammed Siraj for some crucial information. He reportedly contacted the bowler through WhatsApp and he took the issue to the notice of BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) prompting swift action.
The accused lost money in betting and sought Siraj's help to come out of this. For this, he reportedly sought some insider information. It is said that the accused contacted Siraj in March during the ODI series between India and Australia. The bowler alerted the cricket governing body.
