If the indications are to be believed, TDP willn't field its nominee for the Fourth Rajya Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh.
Few months ago, TDP aimed for Fourth Rajya Sabha seat to make sure YCP nominee Vijay Sai Reddy doesn't step in the Upper House. Subsequently, The Ruling Party encouraged defections of YSR Congress MLAs. But now, CM Chandrababu is of the view its tough to deal with internal/group politics if 20 more Opposition Legislators join the Ruling Party at one. On the other hand, He feels fielding a fourth candidate without having the support of required MLAs isn't a good idea.
Open Ballot System will reveal which MLA didn't vote for YCP. Hence, Some of the Rebel MLAs who were yet to quit YCP may change their mind in the last minute. If TDP fails to win the fourth seat despite fielding its candidate, That's going to be a huge embarrassment for the Government.
In case if TDP doesn't field fourth nominee, Three TDP nominees and One YCP nominee would be unanimously elected to Rajya Sabha.
