The Telangana-based Telangana Rashtra Samithi wants to shine in national politics and for this, the party went through a name change and became Bharat Rashtra Samithi. Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao wants to bring an alternative front at the Centre and is busy with his efforts.
KCR is meeting like-minded leaders and wants to bring the opposition parties under one roof. Under this, he is focusing on states where the BRS can have a good foot. With this, the BRS started thinking about Andhra Pradesh. Due to political needs, the BRS leaders who fought against Andhra and its leaders are now showing love for AP.
The Vizag Steel Plant privatisation took a political turn as the issue became a matter of pride for the state. For an opportunity to make a foot in the state, BRS wanted to bid for the plant and a delegation was also sent. However, the Singanreni company pulled itself out of the bidding due to unknown reasons.
It is known that Andhra Pradesh is facing some issues like confusion over the capital city and pending issues with Telangana. BRS is not in a position to give its voice on this. If it supports Vizag as the capital then it has to face the wrath of people from Amaravti and it cannot even support Amaravati.
If the party takes an initiative to clear the disputes and pending issues then it will have to face criticism. If we look at all these factors we have to say that the BRS is yet to make a step in AP and its efforts to enter Andhra are not giving good outcomes.
