Can BJP Foray Into Eastern State Or Falls Short?

Update: 2022-07-26 05:46 GMT
Keeping the ethical aspect aside, the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party has been successful in increasing its footprints in various states. The national party is making the best out of the internal issues in the parties and expanding its reach. Southern state Karnataka and Maharashtra are examples of this.

Sending the rift in the Shiv Sena, the saffron party played its cards right and toppled the Maha Vikas Aghadi government and formed its government. Though the party sacrifice the Chief Minister post, the BJP added another state to the list of states where it is in power.

But the same model did not work and went the other way round. As a big blow to the saffron party, as many as 16 MLAs are believed to be in touch with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and they are showing interest in joining the party and awaiting the nod for the leadership.

As a development that no one would have expected, JMM said that the MLAs are not happy with the leadership and want to join it. Party General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya alleged the same while talking to the media on Monday. His comments took everyone by a surprise.

Seeing that a few members of the JMM are having a tough time with the cases filed against them, the BJP started using the operation Akarsh to invite legislators from other parties. But it looks like the move did not go as planned and it backfired massively.

However, the comments made by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) can also be seen as a mind game from the party to confuse the saffron party which is trying hard to foray into Jharkhand.

Since the cases were filed against the JMM chief and others, the Jharkhand wing of the BJP has been aggressively projecting the idea that the party would collapse soon and the alleged wrongdoings of the party leaders are haunting them back.

We have to wait and see if BJP can crack the tough arena of Jharkhand or fall short before the target it had set in inviting the legislators from other parties. We might get clarity on this soon.
