Chandrababu Naidu, who is entertaining dreams of fighting the Modi Juggernaut with a motley coalition of regional parties, is doubly careful these days. His bluster or bombast is reserved only for Andhra Pradesh audience. Once he is hour of AP, he is subservient self pandering to the whims and fancies of the regional satraps.
Earlier, whenever Chandrababu went to Delhi to play mediator in front politics, his sycophantic followers used to call him future Prime Minister. MLC Rajendra Prasad had in fact said that Venkaiah Naidu would be the President of India, Chandrababu would be the Prime Minister and Lokesh Babu would be the CM of Ap by 2019. He said Kammas would helm the whole country. But, now, Chandrababu is telling his party leaders and workers not to say that Chandrababu Naidu would be the future PM. He said this because the alliance partners might not like people calling him future PM. However, his followers, who are given to bombast, are saying that Chandrababu may not be a PM, but he would be a PM-maker. Even Lokesh is saying that Chandrababu will decide who should be the next PM.
Interestingly, AP has just 25 seats and Chandrababu can never win all of them. Given this situation, can he hope to even become a king-maker? Some of the regional parties can win more seats that the total number of MP seats in the state. Will they listen to Chandrababu Naidu? Every election survey so far has predicted that Chandrababu might not win more than 5 MP seats in 2019. Can Chandrababu be a king maker with just five MPs?
