The politics are now revolving around the freebies offered by the parties. While the union government led by the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to stop the freebies, the parties which are against the BJP are backing the welfare schemes. The like-minded parties are even telling the Supreme Court that freebies are doing welfare to the people.
The Delhi-based Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which is in power in the national capital and Punjab is pitching strongly for the freebies. The party is very strong on its stand to a point that the outfit is only endorsing the freebies.
There is a reason behind AAP backing freebies. In the general elections in the national capital Delhi and Punjab, freebies played a big role. In particular, AAP offered massive freebies in the polls like free electricity up to a limit and it is continuing the same despite though the state economy is already going through a tough time.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who is on the mission to spread his wings is hinting that he would be the Prime Minister's post. Though he did not make any official statement, his actions are statements are saying the same.
For the past few days, he has been saying that India should be made number one and there is a need to gather support for this demand. Keeping the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls which are two years away from now, Arvind Kejriwal is pitching the idea to 'Make India Number 1'. As shot in arm efforts, he is focusing on Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat and actively campaigning there.
Besides making India number one, Arvind Kejriwal is also making big claims that he would serve the welfare to various communities including women. What he announced are nothing but freebies.
Without saying anything, Arvind Kejriwal is sending a strong message that he would bank on freebies no matter which state he campaigns in. But the question is, will freebies' promise work for the party in the other states in the Lok Sabha polls or not? The Chief Minister is in plans to reportedly be the PM post. We have to wait and see if the welfare schemes would work or not.
