Amrutha Sarathy moves Supreme Court seeking a chance to prove she is the daughter of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. She, however, didn't mention who her Father is in the petition.
The 37-Year-Old Woman claims Jayalalithaa's estranged young sister Shailaja and her husband has raised her in Bengaluru. She told the Top Court fact that she is the biological daughter of Amma can be proven if permission was granted for DNA Test.
In her petition, Amrutha Sarathy mentioned she was born on August 14th, 1980. She said top secrecy was maintained over her Mother's identity as she is a public figure who didn't get married & also belongs to an orthodox Brahmin Family. Two of Jayalalithaa's cousins are co-petitioners in this matter.
Supreme Court, however, dismissed the petition of Amrutha Sarathy. The Apex Court told it can't intervene at this stage and suggested the petitioner to approach Karnataka High Court first.
