Canada Eyeing H-1B visa holders In the US?

America is the land of opportunity and it is also a dream land of many. Foreign students and employees prefer America over other nations given the vast opportunities there. Indians are not an exemption from this and they account for the big number of immigrants from Asia.

As an example of the unmatched craze for the US, there is a massive waiting period for visas. Despite the US Consulate giving its best in reducing the waiting period for visas, it is not happening. On the other side, the number of applicants for visas is increasing rapidly.

Looking at this, Canada wants to bank on the pool of H-1B visa holders. The Nation announced a hassle-free H-1B Visa. The new facility will come into effect from next month and it has a few perks. If the applicants start using this, then Canada will not have any scarcity of workforce.

Canada's IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) came up with a liberal work permit under which employees from the tech area can visit Canada even though they don't have any job offer. With the help of the Digital Nomads Visa, they can hold any work for half a year remotely.

Another big perk is that the families of H-1B visa holders will be allowed to work in Canada even if they don't have any job offers. This can be seen as a game changer.

America enjoys a big population of immigrants who go there on H-1B visas. There is a big procedure to get a visa. Even if they get the visa, their family members cannot get a job easily as per the rules. Seeing this, the American administration is working on this to reduce the restrictions.

Even before America can work on this, Canada swung into action and announced a new work permit for the H-1B visas. If these permits get clicked, then it would make wonders for Canada and it need not worry about the workforce. There is a scare of global recession and massive layoffs in America. Canada wants to bank on this. We have to wait and see what happens next in this.
