Update: 2019-04-25 15:43 GMT
CBI served notices to Former Union Minister Sujana Chowdary asking him to appear for the questioning at its Bengaluru Office on Friday in connection with the Bank Fraud Case.

Earlier, The Central Bureau of Investigation lodged a case against Best and Crompton Engineering Projects Limited, which was promoted by Sujana Chowdary, for allegedly cheating Andhra Bank to the tune of Rs 71 crore in 2017. FIR was registered under sections pertaining to Cheating, Forgery and Criminal Conspiracy.

Sujana Chowdary was the Minister of State for Science and Technology between the period 2014 to 2018. Couple of years ago, Pawan Kalyan raised the issue of hundreds of crores Sujana Chowdary owes to the banks. Then Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and TDP defended him. Even Sujana Chowdary claimed that borrowing loans from banks isn't an issue at all and any businessman would do the same. And now, CBI is after him because of the banking fraud. This wouldn't have happened had if TDP Government refrained from encouraging such leaders indulging in financial frauds.
