Time was when TRS was deemed to be the B Team of the BJP. Many felt what BJP is for the Centre, the TRS is to the TS. But, the bonhomie and the brotherhood has vanished now. The BJP does not seem to consider TRS its friend any longer. Though the TRS is trying to reignite friendship, the BJP, especially the national leadership, is very cold to the overtures.
The BJP leadership has not taken kindly to KCR's Federal Front moves. It is also upset with some of the comments he made during the election campaign. Amit Shah and Modi feel that the TRS played a double game with the BJP and two-timed with both the Congress and the BJP at the same time. Also, he wanted to bring non-BJP parties under one umbrella so that they can dictate terms to the BJP.
So, the BJP, which won a landslide, has not sent a proper invitation to Modi's swearing-in ceremony and this is said to be the real reason why KCR did not go attend the swearing-in. Also, no attempt was made by the BJP to bring TRS into the NDA. Modi's refusal to give appointment to KCR, who wanted him to inaugurate the Kaleswaram project, is also part of this vendetta.
Now, KCR is said to be a worried man as the BJP is working hard to improve itself in Telangana. Making of Kishan Reddy a minister is also being seen as an attempt to weaken KCR. There are reports that the Central Government might conduct raids on the TRS money bags to force them to surrender to the BJP. If the TRS money bags are under pressure, then the party would become considerably weakened. The TRS is also said to be talking to dissidents within the TRS. These dissidents will come out into the open at the right time, says a BJP source.
