Centre Working On Plans To Bring Vehicles That Work Without Petrol!

The constant rise in fuel prices in the country has become the most debated issue in the country. After opposition parties and critics, the BJP Rajya Sabha member has also found fault with the fuel price hike.

When the fuel prices are attracting severe criticism, the centre has other plans rather than taking the required measures to bring down the prices which have reached the all-time high.

BJP leader and Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari said the government is focusing to bring a Flexi Engine option plan to tackle the fuel price issue. The new engine option enables the commuters to pick fuel options based on their preferences.

Adding further, the transport minister batted for the importance of developing ethanol, which is made with food grain as an alternative to petrol.

His new comments on alternative fuel come months after the Minister earlier in September this year announcing that the government will lend support to the automobile that faced severe losses with the Pandemic outbreak.

It is believed that the government will permit the automakers to set up their own fuel pumps to sell the green fuel along with their fuel. However, the automakers have to meet the criteria put forth by the Transport Ministry.

Gadkari added that the government is taking these steps to make the country's automobile industry the number one hub of manufacturing in the world so that we can cut short the petrol imports.
