The Central Government for sure is moving towards the lifting of the lockdown in a phase wise manner. After giving exemption to agricultural operations with some conditionalities, the Central Government on Friday night allowed for the opening of some shops in the municipal areas across the country. These shops have been told to work with 50 per cent staff only.
Independent shops in the municipal areas will be allowed to open if they follow the quarantine systems fully. They have been asked to put circles to ensure that the customers flocking the shops follow the social distancing. The customers and the shop workers will have to mandatorily wear the face masks. The shops have also been asked to keep sanitisers available for the customers to sanitise their hands.
However single brand and multi-brand outlets, superstores would not be allowed to open till May 3. Also, no shops would be allowed to open in places which are in red zones and containment zones and are reporting significant number of Corona positive cases.
