CBN Announced Deadline For Shifting

The Andhra Pradesh government is keen on shifting the administration machinery from Hyderabad to its permanent capital city of Amaravati coming up in Vijayawada region by June next year. The Government has decided to shift the State Secretariat to Vijayawada by June 2016 and the decision was taken on Saturday by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the video-conference with District Collectors.

CBN addressing tele conference with collectors said that new secretariat that  spread across 6 lakh sft, would be completed and by June next year.Naidu also reviewed the implementation of different welfare schemes in the State and issued necessary directions with regard to second phase of Janmabhoomi programme being launched in January.  He asked to finish the road construction works by setting at least 5 kms per day.

The Chief Minister had been based in Hyderabad since the bifurcation came into existence on June 2, 2014, but he has now completely shifted to Vijayawada since the last about four months. It's rare that he (Naidu) comes to Hyderabad.
