Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made yet another sensational statement regarding the demand of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. When people all over the state have been seeking Special Status, TDP Supremo questions, 'What's that additional benefit AP could get with Special Status? Is there any GO assuring certain benefits from SCS? Let them show if there is anything like that!'.
During the press conference at Grievance Hall in Undavalli, Chandrababu Naidu briefed about the MoUs signed during CII Partnership Summit in Visakha. 'We made the Investors across the world realize the opportunities in AP with CII Partnership Summit. 700 MoUs worth Rs 4.39 lakh crore has been signed in 3 days. 11 lakh employment opportunities will be created. 129 MoUs worth Rs 58,337 crore in Industrial Sector, 70 MoUs worth Rs 30,050 crore in IT Sector and MoUs worth Rs 12,227 crore in Mines have been signed. Singapore Minister showed special interest on AP once again by attending this Summit. We sought cooperation from Sri Lanka's Commerce Minister for the development of Tourism in AP,' informed CBN.
Later, CM expressed his displeasure over the allegations made by YSRC Chief YS Jagan and AP BJP Chief Kambhampati Haribabu. 'Centre offered to accord Special Status, please cooperate. I won't remain silent if injustice happens to APâ¦don't underestimate my intelligence. Few people have been staging protests for Special Status. There is neither BJP nor Congress in AP. They won't be spared if attempts were made to do anything for political gains,' he cautioned.
