The issue reached a level where Union Home Minister Amit Shah had to intervene and pacify the wrestlers so that everything would be sorted out. Then the protests were stopped. If not for this, the issue would have become another big sensation.
Now the issue took a big turn with the Delhi Police filing a charge sheet in the case. The chargesheet is said to be around 1500 pages long and a big count of people are questioned in the case. The charge sheet was filed under sections 354, 354D, and 345A of the IPC against the BJP MP.
It has to be mentioned here that the POCSO case was filed against the MP earlier due to the allegations of harassing a minor. But the case took a big turn with the minor's father changing his opinion and saying that he is withdrawing the case. Citing this as a reason, the Delhi Police filed a report on canceling the POSCO case.
The MP is facing big controversy with this. Due to the controversy, he stayed out of the WFI elections. Not just him, but even his family members are also not contesting the elections. He held the position earlier and now the controversy kept him aside.
