Clapping Doesn't Help, Money Does!

Update: 2020-03-22 05:28 GMT
Indian billionaires want to encourage people to buy stuff, enjoy life at their premium service bars, restaurants and pubs but they don't want to import safety kits or invest in public health.

It is like they have left it for Government to do all that stuff, while they sit at home and clap, like how PM Narendra Modi asked every citizen to do.

Some like Sudha Murthy have come out and said that they will try and help medical teams to develop a drug as soon as possible to curtail the Covid-19 pandemic.

While people like Anand Mahindra just announced that they will follow Narendra Modi's call to appreciate medical workers from their homes at 5 pm on Sunday.

We need to appreciate people who are busting themselves 24*7 to help control the disease spread and treat the patients as well. But it is also important that people who have money surplus come out and help in these situations like Jack Ma, a Chinese millionaire.

We don't need just one tweet or a positive message that we should stay home but also medical kits, tests, goods and groceries to carry out the lock down for lesser period of time. Hope our millionaires and billionaires also understand and step up to those expectations than just pledge their support to PM and government for "future needs".
