Clash over Indian Serial in Bangladesh, 100 Injured!

In a shocking incident, A heated argument over the plot of an Indian fantasy serial among Bangladeshi Villagers led to a brawl that injured around 100 people.

On Wednesday night, Villages of Dhol Village assembled at a local restaurant to watch Bengali serial 'Kiranmala' which is about the story of a warrior princess who saves mankind from evil. Initially, Only Two Men got into an argument. Soon, Others joined them and this led to vandalism of the restaurant. Villagers attacked each other with sticks and knives. Police had to use tear gas and fire rubber bullets to bring the situation under control. At least, 100 people were injured and 15 of them require immediate medical assistance.

Post this violent episode, Bangladeshi People slammed the Government for permitting the broadcast of Indian TV Channels which according to them hurts the culture of Muslim-dominant Nation. There were reports of three young women committed suicide last year after their parents refused to buy the expensive dress worn by the Princess in 'Kiranmala'.
