CM Jagan Wrote A Letter To PM Modi On Polvaram Project

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested the latter to grant the amount spent by the state government on the project.

In his letter, CM Jagan maintained that so far, the state government spent Rs 3805.62 crores on the Polvararam project works so far and requested the Centre to pay the amount as the project is identified as the National project.

According to some media reports, CM Jagan opined that around Rs 15,000 crores should be spent on the project works this year and asked the Centre to direct National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD)  to acquire the huge amount as loan.

The state government is not leaving any stone unturned to complete the project by December of next year which helps in bringing lakhs of hectors under cultivation.

It has been widely reported that CM Jagan maintained in his letter that Rs 5,000 crore is needed to spent on Polavaram Project Head Works, Left Canal and Right Canal works and an expenditure of Rs 5,000 should be made on occurring lands to build colonies and provide rehabilitation for the expats.

Expats will be shifted to rehabilitation colonies in a phased manner and all the facilities will be provided for them at the colonies so that they won't face any problems.
