CM moves from Rented House to Bungalow

Update: 2014-10-26 14:52 GMT
Manohar Lal Khattar who was sworn-in as Haryana's 10th Chief Minister on Sunday will be moving from a rented house to high-security bungalow very soon.

Apparently, Khattar used to live in a 3-bedroom rented flat located at New Prem Nagar in Karnal town. He will be shifting to two sprawling bungalows at Chandigarh's Sector 3 area.

In his election affidavit, Khattar mentioned that he relied on tuition work and agriculture for income. His annual income is just Rs 273,315 and doesn't even own a motor vehicle.

The residents of Prem Nagar locality in Karnal were delighted with the fact that a person who lived between them is now the chief minister of the state. They say a simple man like Khattar would work for the development of Haryana.
